Am I in the right field or is my Boaz lost?

Some months a go we had our Singles Convention in my church. I am the coordinator of the ministry. The theme for the convention was “I AM GETTING READY”. I had that word from the beginning of this year. As time went on, I was praying about a specific word for the singles and while praying in the sprit one night at about 12:30am, I started to say, “God, give them their Boaz”. That prayer point stayed in my sprit and the next day at my lunch hour while studying the book of Ruth, God gave me this word right there; “Am I in the right field or is my Boaz lost”? I started to meditate on the word.

A lot of singles have lost hope in God, thinking God when will my partner come? God is working something out in your favor. No matter what your circumstance may be, God is still God.

Let’s take a little trip into the Bible, specifically into the book of Ruth. Here, we read about a woman named Ruth, a Moabite woman (these days, she will be called an unbeliever). This woman got married to a man from Bethlehem Judea and after about ten years of marriage, her husband died. Now, after his death, she was free to go back to her people since there was really nothing holding her back, in fact, we are told that her mother-in-law, Naomi actually told her to return to her mother’s house since there was no man left in the house to marry her as was the custom. Ruth however chose to stay with her mother in law, husband or not. She returned to Bethlehem Judea with her mother-in-law and got a job gleaning corn in the field of Boaz. God intervened in her affairs at that point and brought her and Boaz together as husband and wife.  Our Lord Jesus Christ came from this lineage. What an honor!!!!!

Ruth chose to walk with God, left the Pagan gods of her people and identify with God Almighty and God decided to lead her to the right field and to her Boaz. If you chose to walk with God and obey Him, He will lead you in all ways. Just trust Him. The Bible calls Him the Immortal, Invisible and the only wise God.

Perhaps you are that single mother with children, and you are thinking “who will marry me at this age with kids?” God is still God. Just have faith in him

Well, you may say Christine that is not my case, I am in my late 30’s and I am not yet married and there is no suitor in sight. I see all my friends getting the big rock on their fingers. My biological clock is ticking so loud, it is keeping me awake at night. Medical science says it is hard for a woman in her 30’s to have children. The Bible says in 1 Sam. 1:19 that God remembered Hannah, and He is still the same God; He cannot forget you once you walk with Him and obey Him totally. The same God who intervened in Ruth’s affairs is still on the throne. God is moving things around for your Boaz to come in to your life.

Stay on a close walk with God and trust Him and He will lead you. Always remember that He says in Jeremiah 29:11 that His thoughts towards you are of peace and not evil to give you an expected end. He does not lie.
