Faith, the answer to life’s problems
For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 1 John 5:4.In our world today, people want a “NOW” response to everything around them. We are so impatient. Our world is so fast paced. We are used to getting things when we want them. We live in an age of technology with phones, email, cell phones etc., you name it. Every thing is at our fingertips. It’s so amazing what you can do with computers. About a month ago my husband and I had to travel to Houston. I didn’t know we could check in at home from our computer so we wouldn’t have to wait on long lines at the check-in-counter at the Airport. (You know how the lines can be at the airport). When we got to the airport all we had to do was go directly to the gate to board our flight. Wow, amazing!
Unfortunately, when we become born-again, we want things to work in that same manner. Well that’s all great, I mean, getting the things you pray for as soon as you pray for them, but can I talk to you today? It doesn’t work like that all the time and I had to learn that the hard way. Believe it or not, some of us want to control heaven like our private purse. But when we pray, God can choose whether to answer us immediately or not. He may delay at times, but know that at the end of the day it will be for your good. We don’t like delay. Well, it happens to the best of us. The Bible says that “the steps of a righteous man are ordered by God” (Psalm 37:23). If we believe this, then we know God will not fail us. Just trust Him and it shall be well.
The way we respond to some situations in our lives will determine the out come of our victory. One way people respond to delay is crying and thinking God doesn’t love them. It’s natural to think like that, after all, we are human, but we should not stay there. This happens a lot when we can see that thing we have been praying for materialize in the lives of other people. You and a person believed God for the same thing, God answered the other person’s prayers and you find yourself thinking, hey, what about me? Because God answered the other person’s prayers before yours doesn’t mean He will not answer your own. There was a time in my life that I used to think like that, but I thank God for His Grace and Mercies. One thing I know for sure is that God loves us. No human mind can comprehend the love of God for His people. That’s why He alone is God. The Bible says in John 15:13, “Greater love has no one than this that he lay down his life for his friend" God can go all out for His beloved. He went all the way to the cross. So what can’t He do for you? Your problems are not too big for Him.
Another response is hopelessness. You think God can’t do it for you. You have been praying for years. Now you just want to settle for anything. You want to do things your own way. You want to help God. Friend, God doesn’t need your help. People in the Bible that wanted to help God when they didn’t see the promise created a big mess. The effects of some of their mistakes are still around us today. Look at Abraham and Sarah. Hagar, the Egyptian slave of Sarah, was made pregnant by Abraham, the husband of Sarah through Sarah’s encouragement. Abraham went in to Hagar, and she conceived. And when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress became despised in her eyes" (Genesis 16:4). Hagar and her son were sent into the desert. But a divine message was given to Hagar, telling her to return. It also reassured her that her son would have many descendants—but descendants with traits that would be evident throughout their history: "I will so increase your descendants that they will be too numerous to count ... You are now with child and you will have a son. You shall name him Ishmael 'God hears', for the LORD has heard of your misery. He will be a wild donkey of a man; his hand will be against everyone and everyone's hand against him, and he will live in hostility toward all his brothers" (verses 10-12, New International Version). Do we see that today? The Muslims believe that they are a descendent of Abraham though Ishmael. Just look at the Middle East and you will see that prophecy coming to pass. This is what happens when we want to help God. Just because you think your case is too late for God to step in, doesn’t mean YOUR GOD is not able. God is able and He will do it for you.
No matter what they have said about you, or what you see working against you, Just have faith in God. Your faith will open a new chapter in your life. The faith that says no matter the situation God will bring you out of it. God is ready to open a new chapter in your life, it will be better than what you have seen. Even at the darkest situation in life, faith has the power to open doors in your life. Faith is the answer. For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 1 John 5:4. Are you an over comer? Yes you are. By the grace of God you will overcome in Jesus name. This is your time. We shall hear about your testimony.
I love you and encourage you to stay in faith. God will do wonders for you.
Until next time,
God bless
By His Grace
